Covid is airborne. COVID-19 is spread when ventilation is poor, like in indoor classrooms. MCPS continues to refuse to address indoor air ventilation in classrooms, even to the point of allowing students to sit in classrooms without heat.
Also, four classrooms in my child’s elementary school (Rosemary Hills ES) have been without heating since Jan. 3rd. This is against Montgomery County Code.

The filters must be at least MERV 16, and preferably higher, for this unit to be effective. Otherwise, it will just circulate the virus even more than if it were not used at all.
