The Board of Education just gave the George B. Thomas Learning Academy, Inc. $86,000 in June of this year.
Yet, according to the parent that spoke at the recent meeting between Superintendent Joshua Starr and the Special Education Advisory Committee, the George B. Thomas Learning Academy, Inc. does not provide tutoring services to students with special education needs.

The Board of Education is not the only County agency that is supplying this program with taxpayer funds. How is it that our tax dollars are being diverted to a program that will not serve all public school students?
