Rock Creek Hills Citizens' Association today filed an open meetings complaint against the Montgomery County Board of Education regarding its procedure for selecting a Kensington park for a middle school feasibility study.
The association alleges that the school board used exceptions to the Maryland Open Meetings Law that allow private discussion of matters of property acquisition and contract awards to "deliberately and systematically avoid its responsibility to conduct its business in an open and public manner," according to the association's complaint filed June 4 with the state Open Meetings Compliance Board...
