Gallup Student and Staff Engagement Survey
Are we supposed to believe that no other company, or even MCPS itself, could have performed this school survey for less than $900,000? Why wasn't this contract put out for competitive bids?
Why was this $900,000 survey needed at all? What was wrong with the in-house survey that MCPS had been doing for years?
The Board of Education approved this $900,000 expenditure without any discussion. Superintendent Joshua Starr placed this item on the BOE's Consent Agenda and they approved it with their usual rubber stamp.
