With three classes that require all graded assignments to be submitted through turnitin.com, I am sadly used to an inefficient system that has at times marked my every use of the words "the", "a", "an", and "they", as plagiarism. However, today, submitting a lab report, I found a new flaw - the system flagged several of my data strings (composed of the letters R, B, G, Y, and O) as similar to individual letters in a NASA document of instrument calibrations and settings - this is a truly a new low.
Wow. That is a useless system. If a teacher can't look at what the system is calling out as being lifted from then what good is it?
