EVERYTHING is data-mined these days. It doesn't make it right, but don't be surprised when it happens. Remember, when a service is free (like gmail, facebook, etc.), YOU are the product.
Given that next school year there will be 40,000 new laptops in MCPS in the hands of students (at a cost of $15 million), this should be a HUGE concern. Would like to see Parents' Coalition dig into this new initiative more deeply, because I'm not getting answers where and when I ask as a parent.
