Two MCPS administrators on leave as police investigate 'possible financial improprieties'

DERWOOD, Md. (7News) — Montgomery County Public Schools has placed two management-level employees on leave after being made aware of "possible financial improprieties."

The school system has confirmed Department of Transportation Director Todd Watkins and DOT Assistant Director Charles Ewald are both on administrative leave. MCPS declined to clarify when it placed Watkins and Ewald on leave and if it continues to pay both of them...

    Has there been any follow up to this report? I understand that the FBI has gotten involved.
