Each year the Parents' Coalition of Montgomery County, of which I am a member, is invited to the Let's Read! Let's Move! Department of Education event. We still have space for tomorrow's event which takes place from 10:30-1:15 downtown. This is an annual summer event, where the Sec of Education Arne Duncan, and invited guests, read books to children, age pre-K to 3rd grade. Guests in the past have included Eric Holder and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. The children receive a free book and snack.
If you would like to attend, please email me and I can send you particulars. I will need to know the names and ages of the children so I can pass that information on to the organizer at the Dep't of Education.
